Book of Mormon Quilt

A while back I went to a quilt retreat and started this quilt. It was love at first sight for me! It took a bit of work but finished it up. I've had it handging up in our home for a couple years. I've had someone ask me about creating this quilt for them so here's the pictures to look at it closer. It has 12 blocks from stories in the Book of Mormon. It's a great piece of art! Thanks for asking about it!

Christmas Trio

Each year for the past 3 years I've made a Christmas quilt for my family.

2011 - Merry Christmas, I found this pattern for blocks and stars and then added the Merry Christmas to it. I backed with red minky!!

2010 - A crossword puzzle Christmas backed with green minky!

2009 - Basic Beauty Patchwork, the fabric is velvet and fancy

I think they are like children, I love them all the same!!

Catching Up

Last November-ish the hubby and I were going out to dinner with another couple. We arrived early and guess what was right next door to the restaurant? A fabric store. He offered and so we walked in. Right at the front of the store was a line of fabric that I fell in love with. He said let's buy it and you make yourself a quilt. MMMMM never made one for just myself. So buy away he did and wrapped and put it under the Christmas tree. This is the quilt. I knew I wanted to do something special for the quilting so after searching different ideas this is what I came up with. I also scalloped the edges. I've been using it a year now and highly recommend to all quilters.....make yourself one!

Year of Giving

Here's a quilt I gave my good friend for her Birthday last year. 2011 that is

Left Overs

And this is the quilt Todd pieced for our oldest son with the left overs from his quilt. How many 14 year olds can say this is the quilt my dad made me.

My Wonderful Parents

My mom asked me to make a quilt that you can really see the quilting. She picked the pattern and fabric and this is what was created.
